What is a 2 point turn?

A 2 point turn is a type of turning maneuver used by drivers to change direction on a narrow road or in a tight space. It involves making a U-turn in two separate movements, essentially turning the vehicle around in two points instead of one smooth motion.

To perform a 2 point turn, the driver will first pull over to the right side of the road and come to a complete stop. They will then reverse the vehicle in a straight line for a short distance, before stopping and shifting into drive to complete the turn by moving forward in the opposite direction. This maneuver requires good spatial awareness and skillful control of the vehicle, as well as proper signaling and observation of traffic conditions to ensure a safe and smooth maneuver.
